Bertha Marie Ward, born on September 5, 1954, in Sugar Land, Texas, and dedicated her
life to Christ early on. After graduating from John Foster Dulles High School, she moved to
Sacramento, CA, in 1985, where she worked for the state for 31 years before retiring
in 2017. A committed member of Christian Fellowship Ministries, she was ordained
in 2011 and served as an Associate Minister and Senior Choir President. Bertha was
actively involved in her community and loved camping, spending time with family,
making custom jewelry and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to The Good Neighbors
Club of Del Paso Heights.
