Obituary

Cheryl Lynn Carter was born on July 19, 1957 at Dreux Air Force Base in France to Cleve and Inez Culliver. She gained her Heavenly wings on August 28, 2021.
Cheryl was one of six children.  She was raised in Rio Linda California where she attended Rio Linda Senior High School and graduated in 1975.  She was baptized at New Testament Baptist Church by Reverend C.L. Cummings.
Cheryl married John Darrell Carter on February 13,1993.  She enjoyed a lengthy career based in workers compensation insurance where she spent the past 21 years at Intercare Insurance Services.
One of Cheryl's favorite pastimes was becoming engrossed in a good book.  An avid reader, she enjoyed mystery and thriller books which were also her favorite movie genres.  Cheryl enjoyed taking trips to the casino and singing along to her favorite Motown hits.  Additionally she always adored the company of a dog and most of all liked to laugh.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her husband Darrell Carter, father Staff Sgt Cleve Culliver, and sister Tanya Culliver-Whitlow.
She is survived by her mother Inez Culliver, brother Patton Culliver(Sherail), brother Mitchell Culliver(Bonnie), sister Carloyn Seward, sister Tracey Culliver, nephew Michael Culliver, niece Nina Culliver, niece Alexandria Whitlow, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished friends.
