Chris Lynn Scott, 53, of Antelope, CA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, in the comfort of her home surrounded by many loved ones.

As a High Priestess and Goddess warrior, she fought to cleanse, heal, and live everyday undeterred by cancer treatments and complications.

Christy Lynn was born on February 9, 1972, to Christina Wiemers and Bryce Pedges, in Panorama City, Los Angeles, California. Her family relocated to the county of Sacramento in 1977, where she lived most of her life.

There, she attended Highlands Christian School, F.C.Joyce and Dudley Elementary Schools, Center Junior High, Center High School, Foothill High School, and Enterprise High School.

Chris earned her General Education Degree at Enterprise High School in Redding, CA. Her driving career began 1994, after earning a General Public Paratransit Vehicle Certificate (CPPV), trained by the California Highway Patrol and registered with the California DMV, she became a Paratransit Shuttle Driver at DAVE Transportation, Inc. providing transportation for elderly and/or disabled patrons. From there, she dispatched four different shuttle services provided by Shasta County, later becoming a shuttle driver for APCOA, Inc, transporting passengers to and from the terminals and parking facilities. In 1996, Chris was promoted at APCOA, Inc. to Field Supervisor. Promoted again three months later to Shuttle Dispatcher, managing and supervising all parking personnel, customer service agents, emergency protocol, and safety regulations until October, 1998, when she became a bus driver for the City of Folsom.

In October of 1999, Chris graduated from Western Truck Driving School in West Sacramento, CA. Earned her Class A, California Drivers License with the following endorsements: Air brakes, doubles/Triples, hazardous materials, Passenger Trans, and Tank Vehicle. For the next few years, worked as a truck driver for various companies, such as, C & R Trucking Co. and Williams Lumber Inc. She even chauffeured on the side for Carey Limousine Services. From 2007 to 2017, Chris worked at Wholesale Trailer Supply in the accounts payable department.

On November 6, 2017, her truck driving passion became a reality when she began driving trucks for XPO logistics located in South Sacramento. As the only woman trucker at her site, she paved the way for other women in her field. She was dedicated to trucking and her colleagues at XPO quickly became family.

Chris was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, dedicated sister, cherished mother-in-law, and treasured friend. She loved her family and her cats; listened to audiobooks while driving, especially authors Stephen King, David Eddings and Starhawk. She loved playing disc golf, sudoku, mahjong, canasta and completing crossword puzzles. She tended both winter and summer vegetable gardens that flourished.

She carried herself with resilience, courage, and determination, inspiring others through both her actions and her spirit. She was the kind of person who lifted others up, even when she was tired.

Chris was deeply loved by her family. She was a guiding presence, a comfort in hard times, and a source of unconditional love. Her warmth and generosity created bonds that will never fade.

She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Christina and Paul Evans, her father, G. Bryce Pedges, her son Shawn-Scott Bernard, and her grandson, Davian Updyke.

She is survived in life by her husband, Jeff Scott, her two sisters and their spouses, Misty and Jackie Anderson, Jeanna and Brian Robertson, her chosen sisters Jeanine Gamblin Luna and Yvonne Sundstrom, her three sons and spouses, Bryan Sr. Pedges, Harley and Roberta Updyke, Robert and Angelica Updyke, Aja and Matthew King, her step-daughters, Jennifer Scott, Amanda and Melissa Beaty, her stepson Matt Beaty, her nieces and nephews, Joshua Taylor, Jordan Lampshire, Samantha and Matthew Howard, Alec, Nathaniel, Andrea, and Isaiah Robertson, Aaliyah Turner, her many grandchildren, Joseph Atwater, Bryan Pedges Jr., Chloe, Allexys, and Ryker Braden, Elyssa and Aoife Pedges, Hailie and Seamus Bernard, Justice Updyke, Robert Jr., Alice and Dylan Updyke, Norah King, and Hunter Scott, along with many extended family members and friends whose lives were touched with her kindness, strength, and compassion. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
