Obituary First Lady Darlinetta Lanoria Howard
Darlinetta Lanoria Howard was born on August 2, 1960 to the loving parents, Pastor James Wallace Howard II and Etesta Lanoria Howard. Her mother selected her unique name because she was such a "Darling." She is the first and oldest grandchild of the Howard Family. She was a lifetime resident of Del Paso Heights, Sacramento California and attended Del Paso Elementary, Las Palmas Junior High School and graduated from Grant Union High School. She also attended Sacramento State University.
At an early age she was baptized in Jesus Name at Zion Church of Jesus Christ in Sacramento, California and filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost, and she lived a saved and sanctified life, witnessed and led many lost souls to Christ. Although professionally piano trained, mastering some of the great musical compositions such as Mozart and Bach, Darlinetta was blessed with a gift, a distinct ear for music. She heard a musical selection once and could duplicate musical arrangement instantly. An excellent and anointed songstress, Darlinetta blessed many with her God given talent.
Darlinetta married her high school sweetheart, Charles Howard and they enjoyed a happy, loving, blessed marriage for 33 years until she passed. They knew each other for 42 years. Darlinetta worked for the State of California as an Analysis, she retired after 35 years, and she was a quick learner and could master any computer Software assigned to her. She was very meticulous with her work assignments and many people relied on her expertise in resume writing and creative graphic art publications. She obtained many awards of achievement.
After the passing of her father, Pastor James Wallace Howard II, Darlinetta and her husband Pastor Charles Howard continued running and operating Bible Way Overcoming Church of Jesus Christ. She was a beloved First Lady and youth Sunday School Teacher who enjoyed helping her husband with the ministry which included, bible study, spiritual counseling and direction to the people of God, always leading by example. She was the true definition of Proverbs 31, "A Virtuous Woman." She also enjoyed singing, laughing, taking Cruises and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She leaves to mourn by husband, Pastor Charles Howard, one daughter, Angelica Wallace (Terquaverlis Sr.), one son Justin Howard (Hannah), and grandchildren Terquaverlis Jr., Angelique, Dimani, Justin Jr. and Josiah, mother, Etesta L. Howard, two sisters, Estelita L. Spears and Aladrain L. Lynch (Clifford) and one brother, James Wallace Howard III, Mother and Father in Law, Mary and James Howard, God children Amber Anderson (Daryl), Diana York (Timothy). God sisters Delilah, Bonnie, Peaty (peaches) God brother Christopher Lewis and a host of God Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and other relatives and friends, and last but not least, the Congregates of Bible Way Overcoming Church of Jesus Christ.
She is preceded in death by her father, the late Pastor and Founder of Bible Way Overcoming Church of Jesus Christ.
