Darryl Jamal Hill, 25, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 15, 2013. He was born to Ronald and JoAnn Hill on September 29, 1987, in Newport News, VA. He attended Huntington, Carver, and Mark Hopkins elementary schools. He graduated from Charles M. Goethe middle school and Luther Burbank Sr. high school. He continued his education at Sacramento City College under a general studies major and he also played on the college's basketball team. It was during this time that he became a father to Jayden Fleming who was the light of his life. Darryl was strong minded and he loved challenges. So much so that as a child he pierced his own ear with a thumbtack when his dad refused to pay for an ear piercing. He could al-ways be found joking around and making others laugh. He loved playing basketball, admired fast cars, and enjoyed driving fast. But his #1 passion was playing video games. After that was his love of his dreadlocks, which he took pride in keeping tight. Though Darryl had many loves, nothing could take the place of the love he had for his son, his parents, and his younger brother with whom he was fiercely protective. Darryl is survived by his parents Ronald and JoAnn Hill, his son Jayden Fleming, his grandmother Ollie Brown, his sisters Tarisa Mateyka (Mitchel), Tosha Ward (Willie), Renette Ward, his brother Dominique Watts, his special friend Neisa Yanez, and a host of loving relatives and friends.
