Obituary

Della Mae Lacy, was born on March 27, 1953. She was the third oldest sibling out of 11, born to LouEster Hawkins. Della was raised in Oakland, California. She   began volunteering at Highland Hospital, as a candy striper. She went on to attend Laney College, and San Francisco State University. She settled in  Reno, Nevada where she worked as a Phlebotomist, for Washoe Medical Center. Della had three children, Sabrina Moy'e (Danny) of Elk Grove, California, Simone Lacy of  Pittsburg California, and Tyrese Nickson, of Stockton California. Her children gifted her with 10 grandkids, and 6 great grandkids.

Della made it a point to meet each and everyone of her family members. She was always attracting friends. She loved family. Della's health was failing her, but she kept moving. She used to say "I'm jumping from limb, to limb."  Whenever you met Della you knew it was going to be a lasting friendship or memory. Her favorite pass-time was spending was being with her family and friends. Della of course, also liked to dress up on First Sundays, and to eat. She will be greatly missed.

Although Della was preceded in death by her mother LouEsther Hawkins, step father Frank Hawkins; and three brothers: Marty, Ricky and David. She leaves to  cherish her memories a large loving family.

Her siblings include Benjamin Perkins Jr. of Rancho Cordova, Mardi Radford of Elk Grove, California, Daniel Hawkins of Carson City, Nevada, Ella Holyfield (Terry) of Reno, Nevada; Ronald Hawkins of Reno, Nevada, Lorraine Brown (Timothy) of Oakland California, and Wanda Spence (Tyrone) of Antelope , California. Her siblings gave her a large host of nieces, nephews, and even great nieces and nephews. She also has a large group of supporters, family members, and friends and a very dear friend  Tasha Lora Love of Sacramento, California.

She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
