Edward Albert Gaskill was born October 27th, 1970 to Joann Marie Beach and Norman Lee Gaskill. He was born in French Camp, California. He was the youngest of all four children and had three older sisters, Nancy, Bonnie, and Norrie. He is from a large family with nephews, Chad, Wesley, Dale, Jerry, Ronnie and Mitch. He has one niece, Jamie. He has two beautiful children, Issac and Mekayla who he loves very much as above and three step children, Timothy, Raychel, and Zachary. He also has three step–grandchildren , James, Joseph, and Lilyanna. He is much loved by extended family, Aunts, Uncles, in-laws, and loved by many acquaintances and friends.

Edward attended Annie Kirchgater Elementary School and graduated from Galt High School where he also played football. He attended some college and was raised partly on a farm where he raised his own sheep. He loved the country and country music. He also liked music in general and had a voice that would soothe like no tomorrow. To say Edward loved life so much is an understatement, because Edward was just the best friend you could ever want. His spirit was solid and grounded in love.

Edward was a great man of God and attended many churches, but found a home church at Comeback Christian Center where he became a Deacon and then a Minister. Edward was a hard worker despite his disabilities and he was very generous. Edward was a very devoted, protective, loving husband to Merry for the last 19 years. He was a very faithful man. Edward especially loved his church family who showed him unconditional love from the moment he first stepped in. He loved them so much.

Edward was humorous and loved hunting and fishing. Edward was really close with his mom, who he cared for to her dying day. Edward never felt like he had done enough but has made a big difference in peoples lives. Edward was especially proud of his sobriety from alcohol and all other substances. He worked in the North Sacramento  Alcoholics Anonymous Recovery as a trusted servant. He also volunteered in Galt, CA also. Edward worked in homeless shelters in Las Vegas and Sacramento. Edward was a Native American and native to the Sacramento area.

Edward is survived by his wife, Merry Gaskill and the above mentioned. He gained his wings on November 22, 2020. He is now in peace with our Heavenly Father. He will be greatly missed by all of us and also his future generations.
