SACRAMENTO

Obituary

Benjamin Maurice Quinn was born on November 22, 1996, at Sutter
Memorial Hospital in Sacramento, California. Benjamin who was lovingly
called Elijah and grew up in Stockton, California. He attended One.Charter
Academy of Visual and Performing Arts. He was active in sports at the

YMCA/Boys and Girls Club. He played basketball and was involved in the
choir.
Elijah was also active in church with his grandmother and volunteered
weekly to feed the homeless. His grandmother was firm about going to
church on Sundays and Wednesdays and he loved being in her presence.
To know Elijah, was to know that he was adventurous, courageous and
protective. He was smart beyond his years. He always made people feel
comfortable and his smile was infectious. As Elijah grew older, his love for
music became his focal point. It allowed him to use his voice to express his
emotions. He was a story teller with great messages about his view of the
world.
One of Elijah's biggest cheerleaders was his sister Rebecca. They had a
close bond and were the best of friends. He could talk to Rebecca about
anything. The thing he wanted most in this world was a family of his own.
That dream would come to fruition. He would have a beautiful daughter
named Kimiah Rochelle Quinn in 2019. The love of his life and the apple of
his eye.
Elijah will be missed. He had a beautiful soul and exhibited good energy.
He brought out the best in everyone he touched. He was a great father,
son, brother, uncle and cousin.
Elijah is survived by his Mother: Twania Lewis; Granny: Cloteal Quinn;
Daughter: Kimiah Quinn; Sisters: Rebecca Quinn, Jeanetta Hartridge
(Tellis), Genitha Batiste, McKendra Lewis, Miracle McFalls and Jovanna
McFalls; Brothers: Fred Quinn, Lawrence Batiste, Aaron Batiste, Jonathan
Lewis and Nathaniel Lewis. Elijah also leaves a host of beloved nieces,
nephews, cousins and close friends.

There will never be another soul as great as you Elijah!
May you rest in the loving arms of the Lord.
