Ellen Marie Pattio was born August 19, 1935 in Sacramento Ca to Elaine Jones, and Amos Nash. The eldest child to her brother Theodore Clark, and William Bond. She attended various schools in Sacramento until graduation from Stanford High School. She met and married  Delmar Slaughter. From this union came Debra Slaughter-Bacy. Michell Slaughter Hawkins, Kathy Slaughter, and Pamela Slaughter. Later came Walter Caesar Jr., David Caesar, and Lois Caesar. Tracy Pattio was the baby boy from her final marriage to Vincent Pattio. Ellen worked various jobs until hired as a nurse by Mercy. She worked fro them for 30 years, until she retired.

Her love for Christ came at an early age as her grandmother Nona Lee Henry was one of the first members at Kyles Temple, where Ellen was baptized, and saved. She attended when she could, with her cousin Mary Wooden who made sure to bring her. She was also a daughter of the Elks, Camellia Temple. She very much enjoyed going to Thunder Valley, bingo, traveling, cooking, and spoiling the grandchildren.

Proceeding her in death, her husband, Vincent Pattio, Children Debrah Slaughter-Bacy, Kathleen Slaughter and Tracy Patio; her two brothers Theodore Clark, and William Bond; and her granddaughters, Tonia Hamilton  and LaToya Hawkins.

Here to cherish her memory are her children; Michelle Hawkins, Pamela Slaughter, Walter Caesar Jr., and wife Kathy, David Caesar,  and Lois Caesar. She was blessed with 28 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, and 9 great– great grandchildren, and finally an army of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones. She will be greatly missed.
