Eric D. Arnold 41, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017 in

Sacramento, CA

Eric was born on February 9, 1976 in Washington Pennsylvania, to Clenantt (Clint) and Marilyn Arnold, Sr. Eric worked as an independent salesman. He attended Bowling Green University in Bowling Green, OH., where he played football from 1991 – 1994 as a free/strong safety on a full scholarship.  Eric had a sensitive nature, beautiful smile, and laughing was his joy. He enjoyed life and loved his nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sports was his passion.  He coached youth basketball. His favorite football team was the Kansas City Chiefs. And he liked sneakers, especially his Jordan collection. He was a strong swimmer. He won numerous swimming matches and mastered the butterfly stroke. He was a great water skier and played basketball, soccer, and golf.

Eric had many passions and talents. He loved Barbeque and he was an outstanding cook. He was also a good dancer, loved music, had a huge collection of music and movies, and was an excellent singer, who won many singing contests. Eric,  also assisted with the care of his 99-year old grandmother.  Eric grew up in church and  was baptized when he was three months old, and he knew God.

He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Chenault, Sacramento, CA., his father Clenantt (Ellie) Arnold, Sr., Columbus, OH., one daughter, Eva Marie Canales, Sacramento, CA., one brother, Clenantt (Clint) Arnold, Jr., Sacramento, CA. Three uncles: Vernon Douglas Huguley, Cincinnati, OH., Garnett (Cynthia) Huguley, Marietta, GA., and Isiah Arnold Jr., Cincinnati, OH.great aunts Helen Embry ,Los Angeles , Mary Parks, Richmond Ky. He is also survived by  June Williams and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

We want to take a moment to recognize special loved ones that preceded him in death: Grandparents: Mr. & Mrs. Homer (Flossie) Huguley, Sr., and Isiah (Pearl) Arnold, three uncles: Homer (Joanne) Huguley, Jr., Richmond KY., James Arnold, Atlanta, GA., and Howard Arnold, Cincinnati, OH. Aunts: Elizabeth (Britt) Handy, Richmond, KY., and Rosetta Roberts, Cincinnati, OH., great aunt: Mary Spillman, Winchester, KY.
