With great sadness, we share with you that Estevan Luis (Estee) Whitfield, age 37, passed
away on Christmas Day, 2025, while travelling through Valencia, California. If you knew
Estevan, you experienced his smile, his wonderful hugs, and his genuine kindness to everyone
he met. He loved music: dancing, singing, playing in the band, performing in color guard, or just
listening to his many playlists on a road trip. He was dedicated to education and mentoring,
sharing his knowledge freely ever since he tutored fellow high school students in Math, reading,
and computers, working as a student assistant in marching band during his senior year. A native
of Sacramento, he loved travelling, especially to the central California coast where he lived
during his college years at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He was the director of IT at Highlands
Charter School where he touched the lives of all who knew him with his compassion and care.
He put his faith into action every day, giving whatever he could to everyone he could, including
his genuine love and joy. His many friends, aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as his 2 brothers,
Mika and Francis Whitfield, his sister, Emaya Goodloe, and his mother, Regina Brink will
celebrate his life on Saturday, January 31, both online and in person. . Please contact Ramsey-
