Fred Thompson Jr. aka "Bug" was called home on June 11, 2015 at the age of 67. He was born on March 21, 1948 in Mobile Alabama the son of Fred Thompson Sr. of Mobile Alabama and Ella-mae Thompson of Grand Bay Alabama. He was the seventh of Ella-mae's twelve children.

Fred accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.

Fred is preceded in death by his father Fred Sr., mother Ellamae, brothers Jessie (Barbara) and Arthur (Esther), Sisters Virginia and Sandra, and daughter Shantel

Fred is survived by his three children Lisa, Kenisha, Fred III (Tre'neice), brothers Leo (Mary), Tommy T (Sequita), Horace (Neola) and Richard, Sisters Willie mae, Freddie-mae (Carl), Carolyn (Ovelton), Benita (Carl), and Pat (James), He also leave behind seven grandchildren , Brandon, Nikia, Brittney, Jawana, Andre, Koreyon, and Kimani

Fred is a veteran of the Vietnam War
