G. Bryce Pedges, 74, of North Highlands, CA, passed away on October 27th, 2021 after complications from an illness.
He was born on January 14th, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois where he spent most of his early childhood before his family relocated to Southern California where he lived most of his life. There, he went to High School, joined the US Air Force, got married, graduated College, and had a family. In the Air Force, he was a hydraulics mechanic. He graduated college as an Accountant. After divorce and hardship, he spent most of his life in property management. He was involved, headed, and/or hosted numerous and various gay organizations. From this, he has met many lifetime friends who all adored, admired, and respected him. He was very special to so many who knew him. He was smart, funny, strong, stubborn, passionate, generous, and a dedicated family man. After his retirement, he moved to Northern California to be near family. He watched numerous grandchildren grow into adulthood and was always
there to help with the dozen or so great-grandchildren. He loved them all and spent as much time with them as he could.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Blanche and George Pedges, his two younger brothers, Craig and Mark Pedges, his grandson, Shawn-Scott Bernard, and his great-grandson, Davian Updyke.
He is survived by his partner in life, J. Andrew Marshall, his three daughters and their spouses, Christy and Jeffrey Scott, Misty and Jackie Anderson, Jeanna and Brian Robertson, his 16 grandchildren, Bryan Sr and Karyssa Pedges, Harley and Roberta Updyke, Robert and Angelica Updyke, Joshua Taylor, Jordan Lampshire, Samantha, Alec, Nathaniel, Andrea, and Isaiah Robertson, Aja and Matthew King, Jennifer Scott, his 14 or so great-grandchildren, Joseph Atwater, Bryan Pedges Jr., Chloe, Allexys, and Ryker Braden, Elysya Pedges, Pedges-on-the-way, Hailie and Seamus Bernard, Justice Updyke, Robert Jr., Alice, And Dylan Updyke, Norah King, and Hunter Scott, along with many more family members and many friends that were always considered family.
With great love comes great loss and everyone who knew him mourns this loss.
