Herman Cegers Jr. Was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, raised in Kansas City, MO, he was the eldest child of 5 children ,he attended Lincoln High School in Kansas City, MO. Herman transitioned to Sacramento, CA in 1993 to join his mom Dorothy Jenkins and 3 of his siblings Charles Cegers, Sonya McKinney, Andrea McDonald, and his long time pastor Bishop Judy Warren, he was a dedicated deacon at Immaculate Temple of God , he had a great singing voice and sung in the church choir, Herman loved God, he had a tough outer shell, but those who knew him, knew that he was kind and cared deeply for his loved ones. Herman was outgoing and spoke what was on his mind, he was a protector, a fighter, and a survivor; he survived insurmountable odds; where others might not have survived- he did, he was different and special, he was a momma's boy, he liked the color red, he liked to play dominoes, he liked going on outings like the asparagus festivals, he was courageous, Herman was a son, a brother, and he was a husband and a stepfather, his first wife was Traci Wilcoxen married 05/10/1997 and her 3 children whom he loved as his own Quanda bear, Kyle, and Ja'mee (me-me) , Herman later got remarried to Rita James Cegers 05/18/ 2013 To current. He worked at Campbell Soup as a laborer, Kaiser Hospital in housekeeping, and UC Davis Medical Center in housekeeping; he was known and loved by many. Preceding him in death was his mother Dorothy Jenkins 8/10/2016 and his step daughter with Rita, Rashida, He is survived by his wife Rita James Cegers and step daughter with Rita Cegers, Rasheona, his step children from his first marriage Quanda, Kyle, and Ja'mee (me-me), his siblings Charles Cegers SR.(Main), Antonio Cegers Sr.(Jack) , Sonya McKinney and Andrea McDonald, God sister Brandi Jackson .Uncles Shelvy Convert and Ben McKinney , Aunt Daisy Barnes, nephews Lee Belcher, Demetreus Johnson, Dominick Franklin, Kenneth Davis, Antonio Cegers Jr., Charles Cegers Jr., nieces, Erica Belcher, Nikkieva McKinney , Takia McKinney, Kallia Saunders, Ameah McDonald, Kahlani McDonald, Theresa Davis, Samantha Cegers, Kesha Cegers, Jasmine Cegers, Ruthie, Esmirna, Rachel, and a host of great nieces and great nephews, cousins, aunts, friends surrogate family and loved ones. He was loved, and is sorely missed.
