Jaquan Malique Cheatham was born to Quincy Cheatham and Tanisha Hunter in San Francisco on November 11, 1993, the year " I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston was on top of the charts.

Jaquan had a beautiful spirit...he was a loving and caring son, brother, grandson, nephew and uncle. He loved "family" and loved his family. He had a sweet, kind, and polite demeanor about him that caused him to be a joy to be around. He was good with his hands and could fix anything.

Jaquan attended Jose Ortega Elementary School in San Francisco and after moving to Sacramento he attended Allison Elementary,       Smedburg Middle School and Matriculated to Monterey Trails and Calvines High School where he loved to play football. He loved music and had written songs before. Since dancing was in his DNA, he often danced along with family at home with much enthusiasm in family gatherings. However, his dream was to be an entrepreneur and own multiple businesses.

Jaquan had a passion for helping others. He always made everyone around him feel safe as he would always refer himself to his family as "their protector". Jaquan was also very creative always contributing new ideas to help his family and friends succeed. He was known for his bright infectious smile with dimples as deep as the ocean and a powerful courageous heart.

Jaquan is preceded in death by his step-father, Leon Kida Burns Sr.; aunt, Lisa Dixon; and biological grandfather, Savannah Laws.

He is survived by his mother, Tanisha Laws Hunter-Burns; his father, Quincy Cheatham; brothers, Shaheem Sanchez, Kida Burns Jr.,Anthony Cheatham, and Quincy Cheatham Jr.; his sisters, Qianna Cheatham, Gianni Isom, Destiny Cheatham, Tajanique Cheatham, Leonna Burns, Keonna Burns, and Savannah Burns. His grandmother, Rev. Carieta Cain Grizzell; his grandfather, Rev Martin F. Grizzell; his favorite aunty, Wakisha Laws; as well as a host of other aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Jaquan, we love you so much and your name will forever live on.
