Obituary

Jerry Lee Becker was born May 15, 1952 in Lebanon, Oregon to Anita Blanche Nielsen Becker and Richard George Becker. He passed away on July 23, 2019 in Sacramento, California. He persevered through a series of health issues over the years and passed due to heart failure. He moved to California from Oregon to be closer to his daughters.

Jerry was raised in Oregon, helping his parents and four siblings on ranches throughout the State. He loved horses, the wilderness, hunting, fishing and his family. Jerry had an incredible work ethic and always wanted to protect his family. Standing at a proud 6'6", he had a large stature that couldn't be missed and he knew very few physical limitations in his younger years. Jerry was an excellent storyteller and captured the attention of those around him with his regaling of adventures, hardship, and enjoying his freedom in the outdoors. He was a truck driver for many years and saw a lot of countryside but a piece of his soul will always be in Central Oregon in the high desert with endless mountain views.

Our dad always pushed us to be more than we are today and do more than we thought we could. He taught us practical skills and instilled values that we hope to pass on to future generations. He encouraged us to think things through and do as much as we can for ourselves. He will always be remembered for his resilience and determination.

Jerry is survived by his two daughters, Samantha and Clair, his grandaughter, Peyton Lee, his mother Anita and his siblings, Mike, Margie, and Kay.

There will be a celebration of life held in Central Oregon the Summer of 2020.
