June Rainwater was born June 12, 1934 to Gertrude Lancaster and Choice Rainwater Bin Talihina, Oklahoma. She was raised by her older sister after her mother passed and later relocated to Omaha, Nebraska with two of her sisters. It was in Omaha, she met Thomas "Tommy" Loving, the love of her life. They were married on April 1, 1950 and had eight children. While Tommy was alive, June was a devoted housewife who enjoyed a special family relationship with her husband and children. Tragically, Tommy died on February 14, 1971, resulting from an accident. June was left to raise her 5 children that were still at home. Having to care for herself and 5 children, she became a care giver to many who became her friends and depended on her. June educated herself by studying for and obtaining a CNA license and for 35 years worked as a private, special care giver and companion to many prominent Omaha families. Later in life, June left her home and moved to Las Vegas and lived at different times while in Vegas with her son and his partner and thereafter with her eldest daughter. Thereafter, June moved in with her eldest granddaughter in Phoenix, Arizona. She left Arizona and moved to another son's home in Sacramento, California to be close to her sister, Goldeena Hickerson who was declining in health. June enjoyed shopping, holidays and spending time with her family. Christmases were always joyful as her living room could not accommodate the presents that she would buy and store throughout the year for her multitude of grand, great and great-great grandkids. June was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Loving, her sisters and brothers – especially Goldeena Hickerson, her daughters Patricia Loving and Tommie Yvette Thomas, her sons Michael V. Loving and Mark Randolph "Randy" Loving. June is survived by her sons Timothy Loving, Jeffrey Loving, Thomas Loving, Jr. and Theodore Loving and her daughters Deborah June Pierre Loving and Kathy N. Loving- Porter and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Besides her loving relatives, she has a host of long-time extended family friends who will miss her immensely.
