Keith was born in Mobile, Alabama on January 25 ^th , 1962 to parents Jack and Lawencestine Nesbit. The family moved to Sacramento when Keith was 5 years old. He had 9 siblings and always enjoyed referring to himself as the "baby boy."

As a young man, Keith was a corpmember of Jobcorp and the California Conservation Corp. There he trained in a number of courses including welding, electronics and his favorite, culinary arts. Keith's cooking skills were unmatched. Anyone who had the pleasure of eating one of his meals was in for a treat. People often asked him for his recipes to which he would reply with a playful grin, "If I tell you, I have to kill you."

Keith was a Jack-of-all-Trades. Some of his skills included car mechanics, plumbing and painting. He proudly made upgrades to his home and was always happy to help his sisters with their home improvement projects.

Keith was faced with many challenges but he didn't let that slow him down for a minute or keep him from doing anything he wanted to do. He lived life to the fullest and had many interests and hobbies. He was unbeatable at dominos. He also enjoyed gardening (indoors and out) and was happy for the many compliments he received for his beautiful plants.

Keith loved the outdoors. Camping, fishing, trips to the snow, Bodega Bay and San Francisco. Keith had many great memories of camping trips with his children, his sister Cynthia and lots of nieces and nephews.

He also enjoyed sports. He liked to ride his bike. He rode an electric scooter all over Sacramento. He even had some adventures riding a minibike, a quad and a dune buggy. In his younger days, he played basketball almost daily. He had a good time going to the Kings games when the bench mob was at the height of their success.

Keith's favorite sport was football. At one time, Keith could throw a football the length of a city block. He always carried a football in the trunk of his car because, well, you never know when you might need one. Being a native of Alabama, the family enjoyed watching the Crimson Tide roll over their opponents. But anyone who knew Keith, knew that he was a dedicated member of the Raider Nation. It was almost more entertaining to watch him than the game, as he stood in front of the TV yelling at the players, coaches and referees.

Keith is survived by his life partner, Laurie Loughmiller; his two sons, Keith Nesbit Jr. and Brian Nesbit, grandson Keith Nesbit the third and granddaughter Nevaeh Nesbit; Sisters Patricia Pratt, Phyliss Lusan, Yolanda Nesbit, Sandra Nesbit, Cynthia Nesbit, brother Derrick Nesbit and many nieces and nephews who loved their uncle Key, AKA Unc.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Willie and sisters Jackie and Val.
