Kenneth Briggs was born August 11, 1947 to the holy union of Irene and Chester Briggs, Sr. He received his education in the Hot Springs Arkansas Public School system. Kenneth worked as an engineer for over forty years and enjoyed life and loved the outdoors. He was always one who encouraged a smile no matter the situation. It was his buoyant nature that was on display when his path crossed with that of Joy Clarke. Theirs was a love at first sight that bloomed into a loving relationship. They were married January 21, 2006 Most people can only claim one great love, Kenneth could attest to many, his wife Joy, his children, his grandchildren, his brother, his sisters and many other family members Although his declining health prevented him from continuing to work, he never failed to offer a helping hand to anyone who was in need. Kenneth departed this life April 4, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irene and Chester Briggs, Sr., Brothers; Chester and Lawson Briggs, Sister; Mable Davis, and Sister-in-Law; Martha Briggs. He leaves cherishing memories of his wife Joy Briggs, Daughters; Renee (Bryant), Williams of Fairfield, CA, Deidre Briggs of Sacramento, Terena (Demar) Jones of Lancaster, CA, Stepson; Tai Flemming of Lancaster, CA, Brother; Eugene (Alice) Briggs of San Fernando, CA, Sisters; Karen Briggs of Fairfield, CA and Pamela Oats of Sacramento, CA, Sister-in-Law; Shirley Briggs of Houston, TX, 10 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends
