Obituary

LaTanya C. Hives was born on December 10, 1964 to Feltus Hives and Amanda Georgene Hives in Berkley, Ca. LaTanya grew up in Dogtown (Oakland,  CA). LaTanya was baptized at North Oakland Baptist Church. For most of LaTanya life she stayed close to Oakland, CA until 2013 when she moved to Sacramento, Ca.

LaTanya was a graduate of McClymonds high school. She attended Laney college studied culinary arts, Merritt college she took on nursing, Strayer college studying for a degree in Business Management. LaTanya wanted to open up a few restaurants to help end hunger in her community LaTanya was a loving and caring person who enjoyed cooking, dancing, singing and crocheting. spending quality time with her kids, grandchildren and Vince. She loved going on outings with family and friends. Latanya loved to have fun, she was the life of the party. LaTanya and her best friend Robin king, joined a motorcycle club in the early 90's. She enjoyed the company of others. As time went on LaTanya spread love every she went. LaTanya was such a amazing woman of many skills and traits. She had a Plethora of goals she was determined to accomplish. Many of those goals were achieved. She had a passion for helping the homeless and people in need.

LaTanya is preceded in death by her parents Feltus and Amanda, her brothers Allen Chambers, Ray Stewart, (Papa) Albert Hives, (Mother) Ora Hives, Uncle Pete Hives Cousin Michael Marigny. She is survived by her husband Vince Evans, her sons Craig McGavock Jr (Jessica), Allen Chambers (Alexis), her grandchildren Veda, Kiana, Famous, and Aviona. Also survived by aunt Palmer, aunt Loretta, Uncle Billy uncle Rozier, cousin Van Williams, Rebecca Benton, Albert Hives, Feltus Hives Jr, her sister Sabrina Hives, melinda Jones, cousins , Jamal Moody, Shameka Moody, Alvoy Hives jr, Melvin Jr, Laprenda, Yamina, Mia, Ta'Tanisha,  She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
