Marsha Lynette Hays was born on December 24, 1960 in Tempe, AZ to parents Bennie and Virgina Franklin. Marsha was the third of five children.

Marsha attended Jefferson High School in San Francisco where she graduated early at the age of 17, and after graduation continued her education at San Francisco state then went on to complete her Associates degree at Sac State University.

Marsha got married at the of 19 and over the course of the next 2 years she lived in Europe where she gave birth to her first born Straudjah.  She then returned to the states two years after. Once back in California she gave birth 4 years later to Jasmine and porschua.

Marsha loved to travel, she loved fashion, and most of all music and singing.  She discovered her love of music in her grandfather's church. Singing is where she found peace and joy. Gospel music was her first love. She sung in choirs and performed in a music group in her spare time. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially during the holidays. Her holiday gumbo was the family favorite. When she could she loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Marsha foods where tacos, chicken wings and a good deli sandwich. In her later years later years her favorite sandwich shop was west coast sourdough. Also, a good ice cream cone popsicle in the summer also watermelon, Haribo Gummy Bears.

Her proudest moment she would say is knowing God, being a mother, grandmother and working as a youth pastor. Marsha taught bible study courses at Church of Compassion in Sacramento, Ca also ministered to the youth by planning youth activities.

Marsha is preceded in death by her parents and nephew Brenden Franklin.

She leaves to cherish her memory her brother Berry, Cori and Micheal and sister Francine Black. Her three daughters Straudjah, Jasmine and Porschua Turner. Grandaughter Paige. Nieces and Nephews Jamere, Arieus, Micheal Jr. Franklin, Alvina, Rassia.
