Mildred Denise "Niecy" Dossman was born May 4, 1966 in Calhoun, Georgia to Charlie & Mary Sims. She was the third to the youngest of twelve children. Denise, along with her family, moved to Sacramento, California in 1979.
Niecy attended Elementary in Calhoun, Georgia, but attended Rutter Middle School in Sacramento, CA, the high school Denise attended was Valley High School, which is also is Sacramento, CA.
On August 17, 2007, Niecy married Charles Dossman Jr. To this union three children were born. Niecy also had one handsome son during a separation from Charles Dossman Jr.
Niecy was a very strong outgoing person; she was the rock of the family before and after her parents passing. Niecy organized all family Holiday gatherings and loved to cook; she enjoyed the company too. Niecy was full of fun and laughter; if you came around her feeling down, you would leave her laughing. Niecy loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, whom she loved so much.
Niecy attended Sierra College to get a degree in General Education. Niecy grabbed ahold of her courses and was determined to complete her goal.
Niecy had a personal relationship with God, she attended Showers of Blessings COGIC until COVID-19 stopped all indoor church services.
On November 17, 2020, Mildred Denise Dossman departed her earthly body and entered the heavenly and blissful presence of the Lord. She is preceded in death by her father, Charlie Sims Sr.; her mother, Mary Francis Sims; her three sisters, Tina Michelle Sims, Teresa Sims, and Charlene Sims-Williams; Two brothers, Harold Sims, and Johnny Lee Curtis,
Niecy leaves to cherish her precious memories of four children; daughters, Kesha Dalia Carthen (Frank Quentin Carthen Jr.), ChaQuanda Dossman-Gary (Demar); five sons, Harold Dossman, William Dossman, Jaymir Lewis, Darrell Dossman (Aproll), and Charlie Dossman III; two children that she was raising: Kai'li and Kaliah Dawkins; ten grand-children, LeQuan Dempsey, Janiah Dossman, Dalayah Dossman, Blessyne Dalia Dossman, Faith Ann Charlie Dossman, Zyir Dossman, Zawaylah Dossman, William Dossman Jr., Willow Dossman, and Sandra Delph. One sister, Lauriann Stallings, one sister in-law, she called her sister, Cherisse Dossman-Thomasson; four brothers, Howard Morris (Rhonda), Michael Curtis, Rickey Sims Sr. and Charlie Anthony Sims Jr.; Niece that lived with her, Iesha Gambrell, her two children: Kiari and Kaliah Curtis. Two other nieces who she cherished so much, Gina Sasha Oakley and Tameakia Denise Cook; a nephew who was her ace in the hole: Jeremy Brown; a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends.
