Obituary

It was a great and lovely day when Lincoln and Jewel Carter gave birth to a beautiful
baby girl on October 23, 1955. In Little Rock Arkansas.They name her Paulette Carter after her
grandmother, Pauline Taylor. Better known as "Lette" to her family and friends. She was a happy,
joyful and fun-loving little girl that captured the heart of her mother and father. Paulette enjoyed
singing with her mom, something they both enjoyed dong together.
During her early childhood her mother and father relocated to Fresno,Ca.Where she
attended Elementary and Jr High school.In 1968 her mother moved to Oakland,Ca.Where
Paulette graduated from Castlemont High School.
In 1972 she then went on to attend Laney College and began working at Pacific
Bell.During this time she met the love of her life Alfred Minor. Whom she had two children with,
Femi and Jewel, who was named after her grandmother Jewel Carter. Paulette enjoyed cooking
with her girls, especially tacos. She would always sing to her girls her favorite song by Anita
Baker "No one in this World".She enjoyed taking them to the taco trucks and amusement parks.
In 1990 Paulette relocated with her family to Sacramento,Ca.Where she rededicated her
life to the lord and savior Jesus Christ at Progressive Church of God and Christ.
She welcomes her first grandchild Johniesha Paulette, who was named after her
grandma"lette". Then went on to welcome 6 more grandchildren Johnquiesha, E'nya, Jahleel,
Ja'layshia, Romoni, Romajanae and great grandson Zyion.With two more great grandchildren
on the way.Whom she shared a special bond with each one of them.She also shared a special
bond with her only son in law Alfonso Hill, a bond that no one will ever understand but them.
Paulette preceded in death her parents Jewel and Lincoln Carter,her grandmother
Pauline Taylor, her grandfather Nehemia James. Her brothers Celester, Reginald, and Vinson.
She leaves to cherish her memories her two daughters Femi Hill (Alfonso) and Jewel
Minor of Sacramento,Ca.Her grandchildren Johneisha Lee, Johnquiesha Lee, E'nya Chase,
Jahleel Bardwell,Ja'layshia HIll, Romoni HIll, Romajanae Hill and her great grandson Zyion
Brown.A host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
