Pearlie Mae Washington was born in Idabel, Oklahoma, to the late Booker T. Washington Sr, and late Bertha Edmond Washington, on November 9, 1932. She was the third of eleven children. Pearlie Mae accepted Christ at an early age and attended First Baptist Church in Idabel, Oklahoma, under the pastoring of the late Rev. BJ Jones. Pearlie Mae was married to the late James A. Green and later to the late Luther Breedlove. She was the mother of 12 children.

In the late 1970s,  Pearlie Mae and her children relocated to Oakland, California, where she became  a member of the Upperroom C.O.G.I.C., under the pastoring of the late Elder John Burrell. Later she became a member of the New Testament C.O.G.I.C., under the pastoring of Rev. Leroy Minor. Pearlie Mae prayed regularly with her pastor  Rev. Tex Butler.

Pearlie Mae was a devoted and faithful, child of God. Through her faith she became a powerful prayer warrior. Whether she was in church, adventuring out, or in her home, Pearlie Mae was faithful in her service. She woke up at 5am each morning to pray; for and with family, friends, and community.

Pearlie Mae was an entrepreneur, a woman of many traits; she was a candy store owner, cook, landscaping, laundry and janitorial service worker, factory worker, in-home and child-care provider.

Pearlie Mae Washington departed peacefully while sleeping, at the age of 87, on March 10, 2020,  in Antelope, California.

Pearlie Mae is now joined in death with her parents; Booker T. Sr  and Bertha, brothers; Booker T. Jr and Willie Lee, her sisters; LauraLee, Quita Mae, and Mary, her sons; Freddie Lee, Clifton Ray, Ira Jr., her son-in-law Benny, her daughters; Betty Sue, Bennie Ruth, and her granddaughter, Pearlie Laniece Ayers.

Pearlie Mae leaves to cherish her memories and to carry on her Legacy, her siblings; Lonzie Lee(Olivia), Notie Bee,  Elma(Tex), Velma, and Climmie. Her children: Lonnie (Ruby) Green, Kenneth Roy, Jacqueline Spagner, Alcleata (Karl) Davis, Micheal Breedlove, and Charles Breedlove. Also a host of nieces, nephews,  grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and dear friends.
