Rashad Akeem Newsom was born on December 22nd 1980 to James Newsom and Charlene Fraker-Sanchez in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1990 Rashad moved to

Sacramento, California with his father where he remained until he was called home. Rashad was a loving partner, devoted father, loving son, caring brother, and magnificent friend. In 1996 he met the love of his life Heidi, the two had five

children together, Rashad Newsom Jr (1997),  Dasia Newsom (1999), Anastasia Newsom (1999),     Mercedes Newsom (2005) and Akeem Newsom (2008).  Rashad loved Heidi and his children more than anything, as long as his Kids were happy, he was happy. In the recent years he has learned about his Native American

sideand started showing more interest in getting to know about that heritage by attending Pow-Wows. And those who knew Rashad,  knew his passion for cooking , aka (Chef Boo), growing and perfecting it. His motto,

" You Know What Time it is…..Smoke Like a Rasta, The Tree of Life".

Newsom and mother Charlene Sanchez, father-in-law Larry Erwin, Mother-in-law Debbie Kral, partner of 24 years Heidi Erwin, son 's Rashad Newsom Jr and
