Raymond "Red Eye" Lee Walston

Raymond was born January 25,1939 in Summerfield, Louisiana ( Claiborne Parish) to Arthur and Ada Walston. Raymond was the 12th child out of 12 children.

He accepted Jesus Christ early in life and was baptized at Mount Sinai CME Church in Haynesville, Louisiana.

Raymond completed his general education and after graduating from High School he joined the Army. Raymond was honorably discharged March 31,1968.

Raymond relocated to California after the military and had a career for over 40 years with the California Rice Growers in West Sacramento until retirement.

Raymond was a proud Sacramentan and affectionately known as "RED EYE".

During his many years in Sacramento, Raymond enjoyed spending time at the Capital City Elks Lodge where he was a member for many years.

Raymond enjoyed Fishing, Dominoes, Darts and a good piece of fried chicken. Raymond especially loved HIS FAMILY!

Raymond is preceded in death by his parents, Eleven (11) Siblings, Two (2) Children, Ray Walston Jr and Cynthia Johnson.

Raymond leaves to cherish Six (6) Children: Dawana "Pookie" Walston, Marty Walston, Tad Walson, Tod Walston, Richie Young and Adantas Walston.

Raymond leaves to cherish Thirteen (13) Grandchildren, Sixteen (16) Great- Grandchildren, a Host of Nephews, Nieces, Cousins Family and Friends.

Raymond ALWAYS made each person feel SPECIAL that he came in contact with and always departed with a priceless expression. His favorite and likely direction to us: Be like the Impressions  AND KEEP PUSHING BABY!
