Richard Gerald
Moore
Aug 7, 1970 — May 26, 2024
SACRAMENTO
Richard Gerald Moore was born August 7, 1970, in San Jose, California. He was the second of two children
born to Mary Ann Roberts and Reedie Guy Moore, Jr. Richard was baptized by his paternal grandfather Rev
Reedie Guy Moore, Sr. in 1979.
Richard graduated from Independence High School of San Jose, California in 1988. He attended college at San
Jose State College, specializing in Business Management and Computer Science.
Richard was a world traveler and lived his life to the fullest. Rich, as he was called in his adult years, was a
picture-perfect example of healthy living. He was an avid biker and started his days working out in his home
gym or a fitness center. No matter where he was, he would drop down and do push-ups or sit-ups just
because. He always had a smile on his face and reason to laugh. He departed this earthly life on Sunday May
26, 2024, in Sacramento CA at the youthful age of fifty-three.
Richard leaves behind to cherish his memory: His mother Mary Ann Roberts of Sacramento CA, his father
Reedie G. Moore, Jr. of Dover DE., two siblings R. Gail Charles of Sacramento CA, and Rev. R.G. Moore III of
San Jose CA, two nephews, Michael-Jamal W Spencer of Milwaukee WI, and Wayne H Charles, III of
Sacramento CA. Richard is also survived by two great-nephews, two great-nieces. His aunts; Norma Jean
Roberts, Nerisa Kemp (Kareem), and Renee Tyler. Uncles; Richard Moore (Annette), and Reginald Moore.
Cousins David Ruth, Crystal Henderson, Darius Kerr, Nicole Tyler, and Savonnah Tyler. He also leaves a host of
other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his maternal Grandmother, Joy Lee Scott, and Great-
Grandfather Jerell Johnson, his uncles Christopher Tyler and Colbert Roberts Jr. and his cousin Johnny Tyler.
His paternal Grandparents Lola Ray Robinson-Moore and Rev. Reedie Guy Moore, Sr.
Richard's beautiful smile, sweet soul, warm presence, and profound sense of humor will be missed by many.
