Richard Aaron Whitlow was born on February 23 ^rd 1941 in Michigan City Indiana to parents Louis and Mary Ellen Whitlow (Burnett) and was the youngest of three children.

Richard attended Elston High School and graduated in 1959. He received his Embalmer's and Funeral Home certification and license in 1962 after attending Worshum College of Mortuary Sciences, and worked as a funeral home director at Coleman's Funeral Home in Michigan City until he was drafted into the Vietnam War.

He began his active duty with the Air Force on September 16, 1963 where he served under the Airborne Early Warning and Control Systems Squadron (AWACS) as a radar controller. He was honorably discharged in 1967.

In the early 70's he attended American River College under the GI Bill to learn Auto Body Collision Repair. Once completing the program, he made this his expertise and career for the next forty years. After working in the business as a repair specialist for several years, he acquired Brower's Auto Body in 1990 and retired from his own Collision Repair Shop in 2009.

During the 70's and 80's he loved to bowl. He bowled on several teams, served as president of the TNBA Bowling Association and coached weekly for its junior league. He also coached his daughter's softball teams for several years during the early 80's. In the 90's took up golf and never looked back. He loved to be out on the course with old friends and with new friends that he happened to meet on the course. He played as much and as long as he could until he physically just could not play any longer.

Ricard loved his family dearly and they were always his first priority!

He was proceeded in death by his father and mother and his two brothers Robert Johnson and Allan Whitlow.

He leaves his wife Lois Whitlow, son Aaron Whitlow, daughter Leslie Whitlow Graves, granddaughter Alexandria Whitlow, grandsons Chase and Connor Graves and a host of nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.
