Robertha Wysingle Fredrick was born in Jasper, Texas on June 15, 1931 to Mable and Prentice Wysingle. She was baptized at Antioch Baptist Chruch in Calls, Texas.
The Family relocated to Orange, Texas in 1944 where they established a business. The family united with Mount Sinai Baptist Church in Orange, Texas where Robertha attended elementary and high school.
In 1948, Robertha united in marriage to Iray Fredrick, Sr. Two children were born, Betty Faye Fredrick, and Iray Fredrick, Jr.
In 1968, Robertha relocated to Oakland, California. She united with Shiloh Baptist Church of Hayward, California. Robertha later was employed with Lucky's Grocery Store as a cashier. On her vacations she traveled to Asia, Europe, Mexico, the Caribbean, and several places in the United States with her siblings and friends. She later retired after 20 plus years with Lucky's.
In 1990, Robertha relocated to Sacramento, California. She united with Twenty-Fourth Street Baptist Church, and later became a member of Common Ground Church.
Family was very important to Robertha. Helping her family gave her great joy!
Robertha was preceded in death by her father Prentice Wysingle, mother, Mable Wysingle, daughter Betty Faye Frederick, siblings, George and Prentice II Wysingle and Betty Wysingle Matthews.
Left to cherish her memory are her son Iray Fredrick, Jr. (Betty), Sacramento, California, Sister Emma Samuel (Sacramento, California), grandchildren, Joshlyn Fredrick and Joi Fredrick (Sacramento, California), great-grandchildren, Fredrick T. McKay (Oakland, California), Joshua B. McKay (Jael), (Pittsburg California), great-great granddaughters Aniya I. Allochuku and Khari Rose Allochuku (Sacramento, California), great-great-great, grandson Maxton T. McKay (Pittsburg, California), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
