Roland Cecil Lind passed away on April 9th, 2022, at the age of 98 in Fair Oaks, CA. He was born August 31st, 1923 , in Berkeley, CA and grew up in Berkeley, Monterey, Sonora and Jamestown, CA. He was the youngest of five children. He served in World War II, the Korean and Vietnam Wars and retired from the US Navy after 30 year of service. He traveled all over the world during his military years. After retiring from the Navy in 1970 he went to work for Boeing Aircraft and retired after 20 years. He was an avid model train collector and belonged to multiple train clubs in Washington and California. He was also a member of the Honda Gold Wing Club in Washington and was the oldest rider in the State of Washington. Roland had the gift of gab and loved to share his stories and memories with anyone willing to listen.  He is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Roland's services, with full honors, will be held at 2:00 PM, May, 23rd 2022 at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery located at 5810 Midway Rd, Dixon, CA 95620.
