Born on May 28, 1943, in Galion, Louisiana, Ruby Lee Williams was the fourth of six children born to David and Leola White. She attended Union High School in Mer Rouge, Louisiana, graduating in 1962.

Following her graduation, Ruby made the decision to relocate to California, where she began building her life and career. In 1962, she started dating Warrendell Williams, who would become the love of her life. The two were united in marriage on October 26, 1963, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in love, and devotion.

Together, they welcomed two daughters: La Shan, born in 1964, and Tracie, born in 1968. Over the years, the couple built a life together in several California communities, including Gardena, Claremont, and Palmdale, before eventually settling in Elk Grove.

In 1966, Ruby began her career at Harbor UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California. Starting as a laundry room coordinator, she later advanced to the role of patient registration representative. She took great pride in her work, formed lasting relationships with her colleagues, and remained a dedicated and valued employee until her retirement in 2001.

Ruby found joy in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, working in the yard and watching HGTV as she was known for her impeccable sense of style and her natural talent for interior home design.

Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family. She lived by the motto, "Family first, and everything else is secondary," a principle she demonstrated through her unwavering love and devotion to her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.

At a very young age, Ruby dedicated her life to Jesus Christ. She was a worshiper at heart, often filling her home with the sound of her beautiful voice as she sang praises to the Lord.

Ruby will be remembered as a strong, loving, and spirited woman whose presence brought so much joy to those around her. Her warm, infectious smile and vibrant personality left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. She will be deeply missed.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband Warrendell Williams, parents David and Leola White, brother David White Jr. and sister Mary Ella Banner.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughters, La Shan (Reginald) and Tracie; her sisters, Nettie Golden (Moses), Jean Tyler (Leon), and Vera Johnson (Gerald); along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
