Shanel Allyn Griffin was born on October 12, 1980 in Sacramento, CA to Robert Griffin Sr and Diane Griffin.
Shanel attended Grade, Jr High School and Valley High School in Sacramento, CA. and Graduated in 1999. She attended Cosumnes River College. For many years Shanel worked at Sutter Health and Cardinal Health.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Allen and Ermarie Smith, Rev JD and Sarah Lee Griffin. Uncles Bishop Yardley Griffin, Sr., and Fredrick Forte and Aunt Alline Smith.
She entered into rest on Sunday June 21 st , 2020.
Shanel leaves to cherish her memories, her children Terrell Griffin-Brown, Aniya Griffin-Brown, and Christopher Kemp II. Parents Robert and Diane Griffin. Her brothers Robert (Jaheesha) and Chadrick Griffin. Nephews Jashawn and Kaleb Griffin. Niece Ronisha Sanders Griffin and Great niece Aaliyah Perry. Aunts, Helen Lewis of Arkansas, Betty Jean Griffin-Poole of Georgia and Ruth Griffin of Sacramento. Uncles, George Baker of Washington, Robert Smith of Oklahoma, Thomas Griffin of Texas and Jimmy Griffin of Sacramento. Godparents Joe & Sheila Cole of Sacramento. Along with a host of many Cousins, Family and Friends. She is always loved and will be greatly missed.
Shanel had a larger than life personality and live by her favorite quote, "Let Me Be Great!" You could always find Shanel stunning around town in her new cars showing unconditional love to everyone she came in contact with. She was very kind, compassionate and understanding. To have known her is to love her.
Shanel was a headstrong individual who wasn't afraid of hard work to accomplish her goals.Often working multiple jobs to provide for her three children who she loved so much. Shanel was a free spirit who believed in living your best life now because tomorrow isn't promised.
