Shawn-Scott Duwayne Bernard, 30, of Sacramento, passed away peacefully on Friday, March
1, 2019, after a long struggle with illness. He was surrounded by loved ones sharing childhood
memories and cherishing Shawn's loving helpful spirit in life. Shawn had a deep love for his
family, and cherished time together.
Shawn leaves behind two children, Seamus Bernard, age 9 and Hailie Bernard, age 4. He is
survived by his mother, Christy Pedges, father, Tommie Bernard, grandfather, Bryce Pedges,
siblings: Bryan Pedges, Harley Updyke, Robert Updyke, Jarrad Beller, and Courtney Beller.
Also surviving many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones.
Family and friends are welcomed to an all-day open house celebration of life on Saturday,
March 9th, 2019, beginning at 10:00 am, at the home of Chris Pedges in Antelope, CA: Contact
