Obituary

Terrance "Duke" Flournoy Jr., also known as Terry, was born November 30, 1987, to LaTonya Sims and Terrance Flournoy Sr. in Compton, California. He was the eldest of his siblings and he loved them all very much.

Terrance attended George Washington Elementary where he was known as the fastest kid in the entire school! He then attended Walton Middle School followed by Cathedral High School, where Terrance was awarded a full scholarship to attend. Terrance was desired by several high schools and ended up transferring to Taft High where he graduated. He also attended American River College where he was an Umoja Sakhu Scholar with a 3.0 GPA.

Terrance was an amazing worker and provider for his family, and he worked several jobs until he landed his dream job at University of California Davis Medical Center as a Lift Tech Manager. Terrance worked as the manager at UC Davis Medical Center for 8 years. This job allowed Terrance the stability to purchase his own home, provide for his daughter and move his siblings to Sacramento to live with him.

As Terrance acquired stability, his dreams expanded. Terrance had a dream of being an entrepreneur. He obtained his barber license in 2016 and opened his first barbershop in 2017, titled Fresh Lines. Terrance had several barbershop locations alongside a laundromat he named after his beloved daughter, Taylor Rose. He was also working on opening a hair salon and a donut shop titled Munchies. Terrance's main goal in life was enterprising and he worked every day to actualize his dreams.

While Terrance had a plethora of jobs, his greatest job was being an amazing father to his baby girl, Taylor Rose Flournoy. Terrance was extremely proud to be Taylor's father and worked tirelessly to ensure she was well taken care of. Taylor can share several memories of her being at the shop with her father as he wanted her right there with him and she wanted the same.

Terrance leaves to cherish his baby girl, Taylor Rose, his mother LaTonya Sims, his father, Terrance Flournoy Sr., his fiancé, Sharonn Davis, his siblings Flin, Joseph, Lashanail, and De'Anthony. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved ones.

Terrance had such an amazing smile; it was contagious and lit up any room he entered. He would always make sure everyone around him was happy and taken care of. Even in his passing he wants you all to know, he loves you, he cherishes every memory with each and every one of you and he wants you all to remember all of the good times you had. He wants you to always remember the GOOD.
