Thomas Berger was born on February 27, 1950 in Lake Providence, East Carrol Parish, Louisiana to the late Louis Berger & Francis Hall-Berger.

Thomas attended G.W. Griffin High School and graduated in 1968.  Right after high school, he enrolled in the military and proudly served in the US Air Force. After several years, he resigned from this part of his life and moved to Sacramento, California where several of his siblings also resided.

It was not long after that he would meet the love of his life, Janene Casey.  Unbeknownst to Thomas, several of her siblings were friends with his siblings - So of course it would not be long before their paths would cross.  Their whirlwind romance would result in nearly 50years of marriage, 2 children and 3 grandchildren!

Thomas was a quiet man but when he spoke you could be rest assured that it would have meaning and no nonsense. He loved his family and had several siblings where he had a special bond. They brought out the best in each other - telling wild stories of Lousianna and troubles they encountered. They always had each other's back.

In his spare time, Thomas loved to BBQ, pour himself a drink, sit on the porch, listen to old school R&B music, and doze off in his favorite chair. He loved football and was passionate about the game. He would always tell Janene to sit down and that life was too short for all that running around!  "Relax" he would say.

Thomas would do anything for anyone. He was a general contractor for some, father to others, Uber driver for some, and support counselor to whomever was in need.  He never asked for anything in return. He would say "I know that I have done right and anyone else that has an issue, that is on them! All you can do in life is to do what's right and hope to get the same in return."

Thomas was a good man, good husband, good father, good grandfather, and a good friend. He will be missed but never forgotten. Until we see you again, rest in peace.

Thomas leaves behind to cherish his memory, Janene Berger(wife), Tymeka Berger & Marcel Berger(daughters), Jayla, Jazmyne, Jhi Gipson (grandchildren), John Berger (brother), Percy Berger (brother), and a host of other wonderful family and friends.

Thomas is preceded in death by his siblings - Charlie, Dennis, Roman, Dale, Mary Cole & Thelma (Doll).
