"Remembering Tyrese"

Tyrese Jemar Whittington was born at Mercer County Hospital in Trenton, New Jersey on February 19, 1986 as a twin of Marquis Whittington, to the late Jerome Jerry Austell, Jr., and Doris Whittington.

Tyrese was the fourth of nine children, he moved to Sacramento, California with his mother and brothers in 1989. He attended Grant High School and ultimately received a Criminal Justice Certificate upon graduation.

"Life Reflections"

He loved playing sports; his most favorable sport was soccer. He was a great son, brother, and uncle loved by many. He was a man of God and loved by his family dearly, he was someone who could light up the room with just his presence. Tyrese will be remembered by his brothers as "a beast, a leader, a soldier and trained to go." Tyrese will always be remembered by his bright smile, humorous nature, and outgoing personality. Those close to him knew him as silky due to his swag…but mostly due to his silky smooth permed hairstyle.

Tyrese Jemar Whittington gained his wings on Monday, May 25 ^th , 2020 at Sutter General Hospital in Sacramento, California, with family and friends by his side.

Tyrese was preceded in death by his father, Jerome Jerry Austell, Jr., his grandmothers, Betty Austell and Estelle Whittington, his aunt, Lisa Austell, and his uncles, Paul, Robert, and Edward Whittington.

Tyrese leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Doris Whittington, his twin brother, Marquis (Murissa) Whittington, brothers, Doran, Anthony, and De'Andre Whittington of Sacramento, California. He also leaves brothers Damian (Tangie) Bush-Martinez, Jamar, Jerome Austell, and his sister Shawntay Austell of Boston, Massachusetts. He also leaves his stepfather, Eric Grays of Sacramento, California and his stepmother, Edna Austell of Boston, Massachusetts, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of relatives and special friends.
